1,2,3,4,5 - Cambodian Children Learn the Right Way to brush Their Teeth
200-300 children at Wat Vihear Kpus Primary School in Takeo province, Cambodia learn Dental Hygiene from Cambodian Dentist, Dr. Khom Pisal. After which; toothbrushes and toothpaste were supplied to all - even the teachers and local villagers! This project was funded by the sale of Cambodian silk scarves sold in Canada. Etobicoke, Gravenhurst and Huntsville Rotarians rallied to the cause and bought all the scarves.

Teaching children the correct way of brushing at their earliest age is the best way to help them practice good hygiene. Advance ways to take care of their mouth can be taught by someone with dental hygiene continuing education background is also big help especially if a child is suffering from an illness.
ReplyDeleteI really appreciate this initiative. Not only the parents, but the schools also should take the responsibility of teaching the children the proper way of maintaining hygiene. When they learn it with other children, they learn it better. Not only in Cambodia, but also in the cities of USA, like Arizona, Green Bay, Colorado Springs Dentists and the teachers are taking such brilliant initiatives. This is really wonderful to think and other cities, which haven't got indulged into this important task, should start it soon.
ReplyDeleteIt is really cute of them to brush especially if there is a clinical coaching teacher at their side.
